The wine region of Gundagai is located in the region of Southern New South Wales of Nouvelle-Galles du Sud of Australia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Nick Spencer or the Domaine Tumblong Hills produce mainly wines red, pink and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Gundagai are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Tempranillo, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Gundagai often reveals types of flavors of oak, spices or red fruit and sometimes also flavors of black fruit, non oak or earth.
In the mouth of Gundagai is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 14 estates and châteaux in the of Gundagai, producing 37 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Gundagai go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or pork.
